Job Summary:
A General Manager in a commercial cleaning company oversees all aspects of the business, from operations and staffing to client relations and financial management. They are responsible for strategic planning, ensuring quality service, and managing budgets, while also building and maintaining relationships with both clients and employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
· Lead and motivate cleaning teams, supervisors, and other staff.
· Manage recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluation of employees.
· Develop and implement company policies and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Operations and Client Relations:
· Oversee daily operations, including cleaning schedules, quality control, and inventory management.
· Manage client relationships, including contract negotiation and maintenance.
· Address client complaints and ensure service level agreements are met.
Financial Management:
· Create and manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability.
· Analyze financial reports and identify areas for improvement.
Strategic Planning and Business Growth:
· Develop and implement strategies for business growth and expansion.
· Identify opportunities for new business and market expansion.
· Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
Communication and Reporting:
· Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
· Prepare and present reports on business performance and operations.
· Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
Preferred Experience:
- 5-6 years of management experience.
- Experience in janitorial management, facility maintenance, or commercial cleaning is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, and supervise staff, including hiring, firing, and performance evaluations.
- Experience in developing and implementing cleaning protocols, procedures, and safety standards.
- A track record of providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Understanding of various cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment used in commercial cleaning
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadline
